A very useful guide to locating the written words of artists,architects and designers. The people included are arranged alphabetically. Sources listed under each individual are keyed to the full citation which is listed at the front of the book

Part 1 is an overview of the history of dying and use of mordents around the world. Part 2 groups the various plants by the colors obtained from them. Part 3 covers colors obtained from non-plants materials-specifically shells and insects. Filled with color illustrations of each of the items referenced and lots of textiles throughout history as examples of the colors obtained.

Faculty IDs are linked to their department. So faculty can make copies or print outs using their ID and their department will be charged. If faculty need to make personal copies, they can buy a guest card at the 15 West Value Add Machine (costs $1.00).
