New JSTOR interface

JSTOR will unveil its new interface the week of March 17. You can preview the new interface via JSTOR sandbox, library.risd.edu> articles > JSTOR > sandbox (at top of page). About the new interface (from JSTOR):
  • A new look and feel
  • A single, improved format of PDF files, to simplify printing and expand accessibility
  • Personalized account functionality, called "MyJSTOR"
    • You can store your user information and your saved citations
    • You can select one-time acceptance of JSTOR's Terms and Conditions for PDF access
  • More efficient navigation throughout the site
  • The ability to search within result sets
  • Thumbnail views of article pages: see full articles at a glance

Expand accessibility? Exactly how? Will JSTOR's purchase on knowledge produced by USian scholars in USian institutions funded by USian taxpayers suddenly, miraculously and universally be available to USian people????
